A woman has only 50 paise coins
and one rupee coin. If in all she has 70 coins totalling ₹45 ,how many coins of 50 paise she has?

Let 50 coins be a = 50a and 1 rupee coins be 70-a = 100(70-a)    --------------- (1)

So, Given value is 45rupees = 4500 paise       ------------------------------ (2)

combining (1) and (2) we get

= 50a + 100(70-a) = 4500

= 50a + 7000 - 100a = 4500

-50a = -2500

a = 50.

coins of 50 paise she has = 50.
