Answer:

Let the mother’s age be M and that of her daughter, D, now.

M = 3D …(1)

(M-6) = 5(D-6), or

M = 6+5D-30, or

M = 5D-24 …(2)

Equate (1) and (2)

3D = 5D-24, or

2D = 24, or

D = 12.

So the Mother is 36 years and the Daughter is 12 years old now.

Answer:

Let age of woman be x and daughter be y

x = 6y

3 years ago

x - 3 = 11(y - 3)

x - 3 = 11 y - 33

x - 11 y = -33 + 3

x - 11 y = -30

Substituting the value of x = 6y in the place of x

6y - 11y = -30

-5 y = -30

y = 30/5

y = 6

x = 6y

x = 6(6)

x = 36

So the age of woman is x = 36 and the age of daughter is y = 6

I hope it will help you mate!
