SOLUTION:-

Given:

•A wooden article which is height of cylinder is 10cm.

Their base of Radius is 3.5cm.

To find:

Total surface area of article.

Explanation:

Curved surface area of cylinder:

•Radius=3.5cm

•Height= 10cm

Formula of the C.S.A. of cylinder;

=) 2πrh

 =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}   \times 3.5 \times 10 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{44}{7}  \times 35 \\  \\  =  > 44 \times 5 \\  \\  =  > 220 {cm}^{2}

Surface area of hemisphere:

=) 2πr²

 =  > 2  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 3.5 \times 3.5 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{44}{7}  \times 3.5 \times 3.5 \\  \\  =  > 44 \times 0.5 \times 3.5 \\  \\  =  > 77 {cm}^{2}

Surface area of two hemisphere;

=) 2 × 77cm²

=)154cm²

Now,

Total surface area of article:

=) C.S.A of cylinder +2 × C.S.A. of hemisphere

=) 220cm² + 154cm²

=) 374cm²

Thus,

The total surface area of article is 374cm².
