Step-by-step explanation:

total height above the ground =25m

pole touched ground= 15m away from ground

this can be considered as a right angle triangle

where the hypotenuse is 25 cm and the base is 15 cm

using pythagoras therom

a^2+b^2=c^2

a^2+15^2=25^2

a^2+225=625

a^2= 625-225

a^2=400

a=2

Answer:

Height = 25m

Base = 15m

BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

H^2 = P^2 + B^2

25^2 = P^2 + 15^2

625 = P^2 + 225

625-225 = P^2

400 = P^2

20cm = P

Height of tall part = 25-20cm

=5cm
