Given,

A worker earns Rs.18000 in 15 months.

To Find,

a) How much will the worker earn in 7 months?

b) In how many months will he earn Rs.3600?

Solution,

We can solve the question as follows:

It is given that a worker earns Rs. 18000 in 15 months.

a) How much will the worker earn in 7 months?

Amount\: of\: money\: earned\: in\: 15\: months = Rs.\: 18000

Then, the amount of money earned by the worker in 1 month will be:

Amount\: of\: money\: earned\: in\: 1\: month = \frac{18000}{15}

                                                           = Rs.\: 1200

Therefore, the money earned by the worker in 7 months is:

Amount\: of\: money\: earned\: in\: 7\: months = 1200*7 = Rs.\: 8400

b)  In how many months will he earn Rs.3600?

Rs.\: 18000\: is\: earned\: by\: the\: worker\: in = 15\: months

Then, Rs. 1 will be earned by the worker in:

Rs.\: 1\: is\: earned\: by\: the\: worker\: in = \frac{15}{18000}\: months

Therefore, Rs. 3600 will be earned in:

Rs.\: 3600\: is\: earned\: by\: the\: worker\: in = \frac{15}{18000}*3600

                                                       = \frac{15}{5} = 3\: months

Hence, a) The worker will earn Rs. 8400 in 7 months. b) he will earn Rs. 3600 in 3 months.
