A worker is employed for 15 days. For every working day, he gets Rs.50 and for every absent day he has to pay Rs 25 penalty. If his total income is Rs 375 find the number of his working days?

He was absent for 5 days and present for 10 days. i.e
Let no. Of days he came be x and he was absent be y
Therefore, 50x-25y = 375..... (1) and
x+y =15...(2)
Solving them will give value of x= 10 putting it in (2) will give us value of y =5
