A worker may claim Rupees 15 for each Kilometre which he travels by taxi and rupees 5 for each Kilometre which he travels by his own car. If in one week he claimed rupees 500 for travelling 80 km how many kms did he travel by taxi?

let x be the distance traveled by the worker by taxi.
therefore distance traveled by the worker if he drived his own car=80-x.
15x+5*(80-x)=500
15x+400-5x=500
10x=100
x=10km ans
