The man would have worked for 10 days for which he would have got 50*10=500 but since he was marked absent for 5 days therefore 50* 5=125 rupees . It was subtracted from the total money. so, 500-125= 375

Let the Worker be absent for X days
He came to work for  = 15-x days
He was given Rs.[50(15-x)] for working
He was given -25x for absence
375 = 750-50x-25x
-375 = -75x
10 = x
He was absent for 10 days that means he worked 5 days
