Solution:-

Given:-

A works twice as fast as B

A+B can do this work in 12 days

To Find:-

How many days can B do this work alone

Let:-

B can do this work in 2X days

A can this work in X days

A's one day work=1/X days

B's one day work=1/2X days

As per the given Question:-

==>A+B=1/15

==>1/X+1/2X=1/12

==>2+1/2X=1/12

==>3/2X=1/12

==>3/2X=1/12

==>2X=36

==>X=18

Now, calculate both work here:-

A can finish the work alone=1/X=1/18days

B can finish the work alone=1/2X=1/36days

Hence,

B can finish this work alone in 36 days
