Answer:

a)

 \frac{144}{120}  =  \frac{11}{10}

=11:10

b)

 \frac{x}{12}  =  \frac{5}{8}  \\ x =  \frac{5 \times 12}{8}  \\ x =  \frac{15}{2}  = 7.5

c)

Sum of ratio terms =5+7+8=20

Dividing in the ratio 5=

 \frac{5}{20}  \times 3520 =  \frac{1}{4}   \times  3520 \\  = 880

Dividing in the ratio 7=

 \frac{7}{20}  \times 3520 = 7 \times 176 \\  =123 2

Dividing in the ratio 8=

 \frac{8}{20}  \times 3520 =  \frac{2}{5}  \times 3520 \\  = 2 \times 704 = 1408
