Sujon Ahmed, Dhaka, 05 April: The Prime Minister visited the two villages Rasulpur and Daulotpur which were severely damaged by a tornado last week.
The Prime Minister reached there with her motorcade in the afternoon and after visiting the tornado-hit villages, she distributed relief materials among the victims. The tornado which left three people killed and more than 100 injured also damaged about 250 houses, and destroyed the crops as well as their properties.
The affected people were waiting in the Upazila High School ground from the morning as it was announced earlier that the Prime Minister would give them reliefs. The Prime Minister in her speech also told the villagers to stand up with courage and she also assured that the government would help them to begin their lives a new.
The Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh, the local Member of Parliament and the Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation were also present in the meeting.
