KOLKATA: All hospitals treating Covid-19 patients will have to enter data relating to the admission, treatment and discharge or death of a patient with the Covid Patient Management System (CPMS). This mandate will come into effect from August 1 and the first round of training on how to go about uploading and sharing such data was held on Wednesday.
The health department launched CPMS few days back with the aim of effective monitoring of Covid patients who are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. According to an order from Swasthya Bhawan the objective of launching the system is to capture cent percent data on patients pertaining to admission, early warning score during treatment, lab investigations reports and also on discharge of death.
"The virtual training on Wednesday was on how to access the system, on the kind of data pertaining to a patient that needs to be entered, how to upload such data and the frequency of uploading such data in the system. This would be close to sharing data real time," said Tirthankar Bagchi medical director AMRI Hospital Dhakuria.
