a)The chemical name of washing soda is known as the Sodium Bicarbonate and it's chemical formula is Na2CO3.

b)First we have to perform the chemical reaction between the NaCl,NH3,CO2 and water.

NaCl+NH3+CO2+H2O=NaHCO3+NH4Cl

Then we have to heat the produced NaHCO3 and we will get our washing soda or Na2CO3.

2NaHCO3∆=Na2CO3+H2O+CO2

c)The sodium bicarbonate is basic in nature because it produces OH- ions in the aqueous solution, that's why it's also known as the basic salt.
