Solution:-

We have polynomial equation

x² + 7x + 10

By using factorization method , we get

=> x² + 2x + 5x + 10

=> x ( x + 2 ) + 5 ( x + 2 )

=> ( x + 5 ) ( x + 2 )

Now

=> ( x² + 7x + 10 ) = ( x + 5 ) ( x + 2 )

Now we can write as ,

( x + 5 ) ( x + 2 ) = ( x + 5 )

(x + 5 ) in RHS and LHS get cancel out , we get

=> ( x + 2 ) = 1

=> x + 2 = 1

=> x + 2 - 1 = 0

=> x + 1 = 0

=> x = - 1

Value of x is - 1
