(A) You are Abhishek/Jagriti Singhal, studying in Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, Ahmedabad. The road leading to your residential society is very congested and full of potholes. It has become difficult for the parents to allow their kids to go out alone for errand. In spite of several representations, the government has not done anything to improve the condition of the road. Write a letter to the editor of The Times of India to draw the attention of the government to this problem.

Subject: Congested road with Potholes
Sir:
I am writing to your good-self to bring to your attention the inconvenience being faced by the residents and students living near Bal Vikas Vidalaya. The road in our locality had been laid many years ago; since it was quite narrow, it has become quite congested. In the intervening years much of the road has been badly damaged. It is full of big, dangerous potholes. At night time these potholes become deathtraps. We wrote many letters requesting the concerned authorities but to no avail. Owing to the poor conditions of roads, everyday there is a mishap of some sort. During the rains, the situation becomes the worst. Vehicles get stuck miserably in these potholes.
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I on behalf of the residents of the area appeal to MCD authorities to relieve us of the inconvenience we have been facing for so many weeks. Our children, elderly, and other people are getting hurt every day, not to mention the harassment we are constantly facing. Kindly either repair the road or have it laid anew. I hope you will seriously look into the matter. Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Jagriti Singhal
