A zinc plate was put into a solution of copper sulphate kept in a glass container. It was found that the blue colour of the solution gets fader and fader with the passage of time. After a few days, when the zinc plate was taken out of the solution, a number of holes were observed on it. (i) State the reason for changes observed on the zinc plate. (ii) Write the chemical equation for the reaction involved. iii) Name another element which will show SAME OBSERVATIONS .Justify with equation.

Answer:
1) The reason for the holes is that the zinc reacts with copper sulphate to form zinc sulphate, a colorless solution, and the displaced copper settles down as precipitate. So, the zinc plate gets holes in it from where the zinc ions leave to combine with the sulphate ions.
2) Zn(s) +CuSO4(aq) =====Cu(s) +ZnSO4(aq)

I have answered 50 question but no one marked as brainliest
Explanation:
1) Zinc is more reactive than copper , so it will displace Cu from CuSO4 and hence copper gets deposited on zinc plate.
2) Zn + CuSO4 = ZnSO4 + Cu
