Storms are given many different names depending on their nature and where they take place. If it is air alone, it is called a wind storm. If it has picked up dust along the way, it is called a dust storm. Hurricanes are storms that start in the tropics. When the same kind of stom takes place in the East Indies and the China Sea, it is called a Typhoon. In a Hurricane, the storm area is usually from one to four hundred miles in diameter. Another circular storm is the Tomado. Tornadoes are formed most often in the Mississippi Valley of the United States.
