Explanation:

area of a rectangle = length × breadth

length = 4 m ( given )

4 m long represents length...

now,

breadth = 12/4

= 3

therefore, breadth = 3

and perimeter of rectangle = 2 × ( l + b )

= 2 × (4 + 3 )

= 2 × 7

= 14

therefore, perimeter of the rectangle = 14

hope this helps u..

Given:

  • length of the rectangle is 4m
  • area of the rectangle is 12M

To Find:

  • it's breadth and it's perimeter

Solution:

 \sf \underline{★According \: to \: the \: question : }

 \sf: \implies\blue{area} = l \times b \\  \\ \sf: \implies \blue{12m}  = 4 \times b \\  \\ \sf: \implies \blue {\: b} =  \cancel \frac{12}{4}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\ \sf: \implies \blue{breath}  = 3m

\blue{ \underline{ \boxed{ \pink{ \mathfrak{ \therefore \: breadth = 3m}}}}}

\sf: \implies \blue{perimeter}  = 2(l + b) \\  \\ \sf: \implies \blue{perimeter} = 2(4 + 3) \\  \\ \sf: \implies \blue{perimeter} = 2 \times 7 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\ \sf: \implies \blue{perimeter} = 14m \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

\blue{ \underline{ \boxed{ \pink{ \mathfrak{ \therefore \: perimeter \: of \: the \: figure = 14cm}}}}}

hope this helps.!!
