he sold it for 1000 rupees less
10000/1000= 10%
so 10% loss
10000/1000= 10%
so 10% loss

aasifbhai got a loss because when you subtract 10,000-9000 he will get 1000
and he bought it for Rs. 10,000 not Rs 9000
