Aayush travels regularly in a government bus for school. Today the bus was carrying 70 passengers, some with 50-paise tickets and the remaining with 1-rupee tickets. The total amount received by the conductor was Rs. 56.

(i) If there are x number of passengers with 1 rupee ticket, then there will be (70-x) passengers with 50 paiseticket.(Agree/Disagree)

(ii) Find the number of passengers with 50 paise ticket and with 1 rupee ticket.

   Rs.1 ticket = 42

amount received from them = Rs.0.5x

passengers with Rs.1 ticket = 70-x

amount received from them = Rs70-x

total amount received = 0.5x + 70 - x = 56

                                        -0.5x = -14

                                        x = 14/0.5

no. of passengers with 50p ticket = 28

no. of passengers with Rs.1 ticket = 42
