Case 1
CD=24cm
SINCE OQ IS PERPENDICULAR TO CD
THEREFORE, OQ BISECTS CD (PROPERTY OF CHORDS)
CQ=24/2=12cm
OQ =√OC^2 -CQ^2
OQ = 5cm
Case 2:
AB=10cm
SINCE OP IS PERPENDICULAR TO AB
THEREFORE, OP BISECTS AB (PROPERTY OF CHORDS)
BP=10/2=5cm
OP =√BO^2 -BP^2
OP = 12cm
THUS PQ= PO+OQ
PQ=12+5= 17cm
CD=24cm
SINCE OQ IS PERPENDICULAR TO CD
THEREFORE, OQ BISECTS CD (PROPERTY OF CHORDS)
CQ=24/2=12cm
OQ =√OC^2 -CQ^2
OQ = 5cm
Case 2:
AB=10cm
SINCE OP IS PERPENDICULAR TO AB
THEREFORE, OP BISECTS AB (PROPERTY OF CHORDS)
BP=10/2=5cm
OP =√BO^2 -BP^2
OP = 12cm
THUS PQ= PO+OQ
PQ=12+5= 17cm
