Given :

A + B + C = 15 days

B = 30 days

C = 40 days.

According to the question :

A + B + C ' s 1 day work = 1 / 15

B ' s 1 day work = 1 / 30

C ' s 1 day work = 1 / 40.

LCM = 15 , 30 , 40

= 720

Equation :

☞ 1 / 15 - 1 / 30 - 1 / 40

☞ 48 - 24 - 18 / 720

☞ 48 - 42 / 720

☞ 6 / 720

☞ 120.

Therefore, A can do the

work in 120 days

\bf{\underline{Question:-}}

ABC can do a part of work in 15 days. If b can do the work in 30 days and c can do the work in 40 days in how many days will a can do the work .

\bf{\underline{Given:-}}

  • ⚔️ A + B + C = 15 DAYS
  • ⚔️ B alone can do the work in 30 days

\bf{\underline{Solution:-}}

⏩ 15/A + 15/B + 15/C = 1

⏩ 15/A + 15/30 + 15/40 = 1

⏩ 15/A = 1 - 15/30 - 15/40

⏩ 15/A = 1/8

⏩ A = 120

\bf{\underline{Therefore:-}},

  • A alone needs 120 days to do the work.

According to the question, we have:

⏩ 15A+15B+15C=1 and

▶️ 30B=1

▶️ 40C=1

\bf{\underline{Then:-}}

⏩ 120A + 120B + 120C = 8

⏩ 120B=4

▶️ 120C = 3

So,

→ 120A + 120B + 120C - 120B - 120C

➡️ 8–4–3

➡️ 8 - 7

➡️ 1

⏩ 120A=1

⏩ A = 120/1

⏩ A = 120

\bf{\underline{Hence:-}}

  • ⚔️ A takes 120 days, working alone, to finish
