∆ABC is an equilateral triangle.With each vertex of triangle as center.A circle is drawn with radius 4 cm.find area of the shaded region

As we know that ABC is a equilateral triangle hence each angle is 60°

now area of shaded region= area of triangle-area of three sector

area of triangle = √3a²/4

= √3 x 8 x 8 / 4

= 16√3

area of one sector = 60/360(πr²)

= 1/6(π x 4 x 4)

= 1/6(16π)

area of 3 sector

= 1/2(16π) = 8π

now area of shaded region

16√3-8π

2.58 approx
