Now In △ACD

=AC2=CD2+AD2

a2=CD2+a22

a2−a22=CD2

a22=CD2

CD2=a22

2CD2=a2

and AD2+BD2=(a2–√)2+(a2–√)2

=a2–√+a2–√=a2

∴2CD2=AD2+BD2
