Answer:

In ABC & ADE

AB = AC 1ST EQ

BD = CE 2ND EQ

by adding 1st and 2nd

AD = AE

in ABC & ACD

AB = AC ( given)

< A = < A ( common)

AD = AE ( proved above)

by SAS congruence ABC ~= ACD

by cpct

BE = CD

hence proved
