use Pythagoras theorem ....p^2 + b^2 =h^2

so ab square = ac square +  c b  square 

since ac=cb
so ab square= 2 ac square

In ∆ABC :—

AC=BC.........................①

∠ C=90°

AB² = AC² + BC²............(By Pythagoras Theorem)

From ①:—

AB² = 2AC²

Hence, Proved.
