ABC is an isosceles triangle with AB=AC and BD, CE and its two median. show that BD=CE.

given- ab=ac

to prove- bd=ce

solution- in triangle dcb and triangle ebc,

bc is common

ab=ac(given)

B=C(property of an isosceles traingle)

dcb=ebc (by sas postulate)

=> bd=ce
