∆ABC is the right angled at A. AB = 5, AC = 12 and BC = 13. Find the area of ∆ABC. ​

Answer:

clearly 13 is hyportenuse so any of 5 or 12 could be taken as base or height so,

take height h=12, base b=5

using area of right angeled triangle =

(1 \div 2 )\times b \times h

so (1/2) * 5 * 12

= 30 square units
