ABCD is a diameter of a circle of radius 6cm. The lengths AB,BC and CD are equal. Semi circles are drawn on PQ and QS as diameters. Find the perimeter and area of the region so obtained. with explanation

Area of shaded region = area of semi-circle ab+(ad-bd)
=π2×2+(π6×6-π4×4)
=4π+(36π-16π)
=4π+20π
=24πcm²
