ABCD is a parallegram if AD=x+2y, BC=2x+3,DC=x+7 and AB = 3y+2 then calculate thevperimeter of the parallelogram

From the figure, we get;

as

x + 2y = 2x + 3

or, -x + 2y = 3

or, -x = 3 - 2y

or, x = -3 + 2y ... (i)

Then, 3y + 2 = x +7

or, 3y +2 = -3 + 2y + 7 [by placing (i)]

or, 3y+2 = 4+2y

or, y = 2

Thus, y = 2 and x = 1

NOW, YOU CAN FIND THE PERIMETER BY PLACING THE VALUES.....
