TO PROVE:
Opposite sides are equal.
PROOF:
In ∆ABC and ∆ADC
Angle DAC = Angle BCA [AB is parallel to CD, AC is a transversal.. Alternate angles are equal]
Angle BAC = Angle DCA [AB is parallel to CD, AC is a transversal.. Alternate angles are equal]

Angle BCA + Angle BAC = Angle DCA + Angle DAC From .....(1)
Angle BAC + Angle BCA + Angle B = 180° [Angle sum property of triangle]
Angle DAC + Angle DCA + Angle D = 180° [Angle sum property of triangle]

From .....(1) and .....(2)
Angle B = Angle D
