∴ BE = EC

In ∆BEF and ∆CDE

BE = EC

∠BEF = ∠CED (Vertically opposite angle)

∴ ∆BEF ≅ ∆CDE (ASA criterian)

∴ DC = BF

But DC = AB

∴ AB = BF

AF = AB + BF = AB + AB

= 2AB
