DC = 12 cm  

AD = 8 cm

BE = height from B to side DC = 7.6 cm  

BF = height from B to side AD

We know that the formula of the area of a parallelogram is given by,  

Area = Base × Altitude

Firstly, we have  

Side DC = 12 cm and the perpendicular height corresponding to this side, BE which is 7.6 cm.  

Area of parallelogram ABCD = DC × BE = 12 × 7.6 = 91.2 cm²  

Now, considering the side AD  which is 8 cm and the corresponding perpendicular height of this side is BF.  

Area = AD × BF

⇒ 91.2 = 8 × BF  

⇒ BF =  \frac{91.2}{8}

BF = 11.4 cm
