ABCD is a parallelogram in which DC = 40 cm, DE bisects AB and AE= 16 cm. If the area of parallelogram is 480 sq cm, find DE and BC

area of parallelogram A=base×height =(b×h)

we take b=40cm,A=480 sq cm h=?

then we have AB=DC and AD=BC because in parallelogram the opposite sides are equal.

480=40 (h).

h=12. that is BC =12.
