ABCD is a parallelogram.The height from B to DC i.e.,BE=8.5cm.if the area of the parallelogram is 204 sq.cm then find the area of the ABD.Also find the AP,if BD=17cm.

area of parallelogram is bh
therefore, b*8.5=204
b=24cm

area of triangle ABD =1/2*b*h
therefore,
1/2*24*8.5=102cm^2

BD=17
using area of triangle ABD
102= 1/2*17*h
therefore h=12
