ABCD is a parallelogram
(opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent )
if AB is 12 cm =DC is also 12 cm
if AC = 20 , BD is also 20
therefore, AC²+ BC=2(AB²+BC²)
20²+20²=2(12²+BC²)
400+400=2(144+BC² )
800÷2= 144+BC²
400=144+BC²
400-144=BC²
BC²=256
taking square root on both the side
BC=16
