Area of Parallelogram = area(AXCD} + area(∆XBC)
By figure, we can say that area(AXCD) is 3/4 area(ABCD).
Therefore,
24 = (3/4) area(ABCD)
Area of the Parallelogram = 36 cm².
area(ABC) = (1/2) area(ABCD)
= 24/2
= 12 cm²
