Step-by-step explanation:

first of all ,

we will find the area of trapezium

area of trapezium

  \frac{1}{2}  \times (a + b) \times h

 \frac{1}{2} (8 + 4) \times 6

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 12 \times 6

6 \times 6 =  {36cm}^{2}

then we will find the area of rectangle ,

area of rectangle =

l \times b

12 \times 16

 {192cm}^{2}

at last , we will subtract the area of trapezium from area of rectangle

area=area of rect.-area of trap.

area = 192 -36

area = 156 cm^2

area \:  =  {156cm}^{2}

hope it helps u.....
