Given, AB=30

hence, CD=30

Given, CD=x+y

30=x+y

x=30-y .......(1)

Given, AD=14

hence, BC=14

Given, BC=x-y

14=x-y

Substituting the value of x in BC from equation (1),

14=(30-y)-y

14=30-2y

2y=30-14

2y=16

y=16/2

y=8

x-y=14

x-8=14

x=14+8

x=22

Thus, x=22 and y=8.
