Hey dear here is your answer!!!!!

___________________________

We have been given that ABCD is a rectangle:-

Therefore, AB = DC and AB = DC

We would be forming two equations to solve this question:-

Since, AD = BC

So, x - y = 14

And, DC = AB

So, x + y = 30

Now, that we have two equation, we would be adding them as follows:-

( x  -  y ) + ( x + y ) = 44

x - y + x + y = 44

Add the like terms:-

2x = 44

x = \frac{44}{2}

x = 22

Now, substitute the value of x in any of the equations:-

(22) + y = 30

y = 30 - 22

y = 8

So, the values of x and y are 22 and 8 respectively!

Since ABCD is a rectangle, AB=CD and AD=BC.

Given, AB=30

hence, CD=30

Given, CD=x+y

30=x+y

x=30-y .......(1)

Given, AD=14

hence, BC=14

Given, BC=x-y

14=x-y

Substituting the value of x in BC from equation (1),

14=(30-y)-y

14=30-2y

2y=30-14

2y=16

y=16/2

y=8

x-y=14

x-8=14

x=14+8

x=22

Thus, x=22 and y=8.
