Answer:

Given that,

Area of square PBRQ=64cm²

a²=8²

a=8

PB=RB=8cm

CB=CP+PB

1+8=9cm

AB=AR+RB

4+8=12cm

Area of rectangle=b

9×12=108cm²

Area of ARS=1/2×base ×height

=1/2×4×4

=2×4=8cm²

Area of CPT=1/2×1×1

=0.5cm²

CB–(CP+SR)

9-5=4cm²

Area of QST=1/2×4×4

=2×4=8cm²

Area of shaded region = Area of rectangle ABCD-(area of ARS+ Area of CPT+area of QST)

=108-(8+0.5+8)

=108-16.5

=91.5
