<ABC=40°

Then

<BCD=50°

Draw the diagonals of the rhombus

and let these intersect at O.

(We have to prove DOC and BOC congruent)


In DOC and BOC

OC=OC (common)

DC =BC (sides of a rhombus)

DO=BO (diagonals of a rhombus bisects each other)

Hence proved

Therefore

<OCD=<OCB. (by cpct)

<OCD+<OCB=<C

<C=50°

And <ACD =50°
