ABCD is a square. F is the mid point of AB. BE is one third of BC. If the area of ∆FBE is 108cm square units . Find the length of BC

Let the side of square be a

BF= a/2 and BE= a/3(given)

⇒ Area of triangle FBE = 1/2×FB×BE

⇒108= 1/2*a/2*a/3

⇒a ^2 =1296 cm

⇒a=36 cm

⇒AC= 2a under root

36under root 2a cm
