the value of x will be 34 as........

sum of supplementary angle is 180 degree

so, angle A + angle D = 180

(2x-10) + (3x+20) = 180

after opening the bracket

5x + 10 = 180

x= 180-10÷5

x= 34

the value of y will be 115 as......

Sum of angle of trapezium is 360 degree

so , A + B + C + D = 360

(2 × 34 - 10) + 65 + (3 × 34 + 20) + Y = 360

(68 - 10) + 65 + (102 + 20) + Y = 360

58 + 65 + 122 + Y =360

245 + Y = 360

y = 360 - 245

y = 115

so ,X = 34 and Y = 150

Theorem :

I) Sum of all the interior angles of any four sided polygon is always 360 degrees

II) Sum of the corresponding angles of the Two parellel lines is always 180.

From (II) we can say that

y + 65 = 180

⇒ y = 115 degrees.

From (I) we can say that

(2x-10) + (3x +20) +65 + y =360

5x + 10 +65 + 115 = 360

5x = 170

⇒ x = 34 degrees
