Abcd is square pqrs is a rhombus lying inside the square such that p,q,r and s are the mid points of ab,bc,cd and da respectively.A point is slected at random in the squres .Find the probability that it lies rhombus

PQRs will be square joining mid pt of square we get square area of ABCD=AB×AB in triangle APQ angleA =90 so PQ×PQ=AP×AP+AQ×AQ AP =AQ PQ×PQ=(AB×AB)/2 probability =AB×AB/(2×AB×AB)=1/2 is answer
