let the abdul speed by train be x
............ .............speed by taxi be y

we know that,
speed - distance /time
so,
time- distance / speed

time taken by train- 300/x
....................by taxi - 200/y
total time taken is 5 hr. 30 min.
convert 5hr. 30 min into fraction
5 30/60- 11/2
300 /x + 200/y - 11/2 1st eq.

but
time taken by train 260/x
.......,............by taxi 240/y

total time taken, now take 6 min more so
5 hr. and 36 min.
again convert into fraction
5 36/60 - 28/5
so,
260/x +240/y- 28/5 2nd eq.

now sol. these eq. by elimination method. Thanh you
