✔ advantages:
A plain roti is an excellent source of soluble fibre, which helps lower blood cholesterol levels, prevents constipation and helps keep our digestive system healthy. Loaded with complex carbohydrates that give you sustained energy and it can keep you satiated for hours
✔disadvantages:
Chapati are made from wheat. This grain is very high in starch. When you eat starch, it is digested and changed molecularly by enzymes into glucose. Glucose is a sugar that causes the body to produce insulin. When your body has more glucose than it needs for energy, the liver changes it to fats. These fatty acid chains attach to glyceride molecules to form triglycerides. These triglycerides enter cells, where the fatty acid chains drop off the glyceride molecules to remain in the cells as fats. After dropping off its load of fats, the glyceride molecule goes back to the liver to pick up more fatty acid chains to move into cells as fats.
