Bond Pair

•bond pair is a pair of electrons that are in a bond
•they are always in bonds
•the two electrons belong to two atoms
•these are created due to sharing of electrons by two atoms

Lone Pair

•lone pair is a pair of electrons that are not in a bond
•they are not in bonds but can form bonds by donating the lone pair
•the two electrons belong to the same atom
•these are created due to absence of empty orbitals

hope this helps you

Lone pair :-

* The pair of electrons which are not involved in bonding is called lone pair.

* Ex :- O3, SO2, NH3, H2O, SF4, ClF3 etc.

Bond pair :-

* The pair of electrons which are involved in bonding is called bond pair.

* Ex :- BeCl2, BF3, AlCl3, CH4, PCl5 etc.

Hope it helps you.
