1) paddy is extensively cultivated everywhere the coastal plains particularly in Krishna district.
2) Most of the lands particularly in low areas seeded with paddy.
3) The nursery for the paddy monsoon crop referred to as salva is seeded and transplanted within the months of June and July they sometimes grow high yielding paddy verities like MTU,2716,swarna and BPT.
4) Transplantation remains mainly done by women and harvest too is finished by men and girls along.
5) From the month of Gregorian calendar month they sow the winter crop referred to as dalva.
This is either paddy or pulse crop.During the previous couple of years several farmers are cultivating sugar cane rather than paddy.
