Jacobian club belongs to mainly less prosperous sections of the society. They include shopkeepers, artisans, cooks,daily wage workers etc. Their leader was Maxmillion Robespierre. They wear long striped trousers similar to those worn by dock workers. They wanted to show themselves apart from the fashionable section of the society, especially the nobles who worn knee breeches.

They include artisans, craftsman, etc.A revolutionary political movement that was the most famous political club during the French Revolution. The club was so called from the Dominican convent where they originally met, in the Rue Saint Jacques.
