Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on October 31, 1875. He was born in Nadiad, Gujarat to Jhaverbhai (father) and Laad bai (mother).
He was a political and social leader of India who played a major role in the freedom struggle of India and subsequently guided its integration into united and independent nation.
He is given the title of 'Ironman of India' and was iften referred to as 'Sardar' meaning leader.
